Get To Know Kris Graves

Recently mentioned on Twitter by Andy Adams (@FlakPhoto) as making his short list for personal Picture of the Year, Kris Graves is an artist and publisher based in New York and London. He is on the Board at Portland’s Blue Sky Gallery: Oregon Center for the Photographic Arts, and is the Vice President of Photography at the Architectural League of New York.

Mr. Graves’ art deals with social problems at many levels, hoping to inform the public about various cultural issues. He considers his photographs a way to preserve memories of people and locations. You’ll find the image below at the top of the National Geographic’s 2020 In Review article.
