The Photos That Define The War

People seem to need to divvy up things into separate categories and then debate about how to fit the messy work into those preconceived buckets. We have “art” photography and “street” and “commercial” and “journalism”, etc., etc., etc. Sometimes, when responding to an image, I cannot escape the feeling that several categories apply simultaneously. It’s like that with these war photos.
