Portland Artist Selected For International Group Exhibition

Analog Forever Magazine’s December online exhibition is “Photography Out of Control! New Approaches to Experimental Photography.” Many in our area will recognize prior PPF Board Member, Susan DeWitt. She was one of 37 international artists selected by curator, Pablo Giori. Mr. Giori is the Co-Director of EXP. 22 International Festival on Experimental Photography in Barcelona, and is also a photographer.

The curator intended to select images that gave a glimpse into the future of photography. He noted that industrialized visual culture has taught us all what to expect in a photograph, and that limits what can be done. By experimenting with homemade techniques that blend more science into art photography, these artists intentionally avoid “reproducing the same thing over and over again.”
