Deadline To Enter 2022 Kraszna-Krausz Book Award Is 02/28/2022

Two prestigious Kraszna-Krausz Foundation awards are announced each year. One is for individuals or groups who have made an original or a lasting contribution to the art and practice of photography. The other award is for moving images (digital, film, or television) that meets the criteria. The contribution must be in the form of a book and the author/s or editor/s of each winning book will receive a £5,000 cash prize.

There are a number of requirements, such as the book must have been published between January 1~December 31, 2021. The book must have been published, distributed, or available to buy in the UK (online purchases OK.) The photography book must contain a significant amount of text. Be sure to carefully check out the submission form and the terms and conditions. There is additional information here. The judging panels will be announced early in 2022.

The judging process involves first announcing a “long list” of ten books in each category. Then the “short list” of three books in each category is published. From the short lists, the two winning publications are selected.
