Galerie Huit Arles/BJP Call for OpenWalls Entries

The British Journal of Photography and  Galerie Huit Arles, announce a call for work for the OpenWalls exhibition. It will coincide with the Recontres d’Arles festival in France this summer. About 50 winning images and 2 bodies of work will be featured in the OpenWalls group show, held at Galerie Huit Arles. The British Journal of Photography will also publish the winners.

The theme is “Truth.” We are all over-saturated with images nowadays. Which ones are true and which ones mislead. Is anything real anymore? The jurors are looking for work that “considers what truth means in contemporary photography, and how this informs the way we see the world today” or“draws from realities faced by photographers [today]” Photographers are encouraged to “consider how their work shows different experiences of reality, from behind and in front of the lens. “ In other words, what does truth mean to you?
