Women Photograph Accepting New Members Throughout December 2020

Women Photograph has an online membership application at https://www.womenphotograph.com/apply. The group says it is open to many different forms of photography as a “storytelling medium,” but has a particular focus on photojournalism and documentary. They are looking for “independent woman, transgender, or non-binary photographers with 5+ years of professional experience.” The aim is to create a diverse, inclusive community so they are encouraging women from under-represented communities to apply. An independent committee of photo editors and industry leaders assists in the membership selection process. Besides membership in the database, the group has varied grants, mentorships, workshops, and projects.
