Busy Month Ahead For LightBox Gallery

LightBox Gallery in Astoria will host an opening reception on Saturday, October 8th from 4 -7pm for Donald MacDonald’s Reminisces in Platinum. Also in the gallery will be Julie Moore ’s Visions, and Michael Puff’s Looking Back platinum-palladium prints. Julie Moore will be in the gallery during the Second Saturday Artwalk from 4-7, October 8th to answer your questions about her Poly-Photogravure and Enhanced Lumen prints..

The recently-launched LightBox Large Format Society will be meeting on the third Saturdays of month to explore everything related to the bigger film sizes. Photographers Jim Fitzgerald, Loren Nelson, and Gallery Director Michael Granger will lead the group. You will find meeting areas, layout tables, and darkrooms with large sinks for processing and printing. If you have an interesting large format camera, please show it off at one of the meetings!

The goal of this group is education and sharing. To join, all you need to do is contact michael at michael@lightbox-photographic.com ! Even if you are too far from Astoria to make the trip, the newsletters and other announcements will be of benefit to you.
