Project Begun In 1972 Just Now Printed

Melinda Blauvelt studied photography with Walker Evans back in the days when there were only four students in the class. Evans inspired her to move to a tiny fishing village in New Brunswick, live in a fisherman’s family home, and make portraits of the neighbors. She was so interested in making new work that she has just now started printing the fifty-year old negatives. Former Editor-In-Chief of Life magazine broke the news on his Twitter feed.
