New York School Exhibition In France Available Online Through January 10

Between 1935 and 1965, photographers in New York developed a multidisciplinary style that came to be known as—wait for it—the “New York School.” Shortly after WWII there was a burst of creative freedom and a new approach to street photography that gelled in a somewhat unplanned way, driven in part by advances in film and paper, and a bit of an “anything goes” attitude.

The gallery tends to mount three shows per year. Text, images, and videos are also available for previous exhibitions.
