New Masking Protocol At Sitka Center For Art And Ecology

On July 27, 2021, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) issued new guidance regarding fully vaccinated persons wearing masks in business settings. In response, Alison Dennis, Executive Director of the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology, issued this new protocol for the Center:

”When visiting Sitka, please:

  • Wear a mask when indoors and practice physical distancing on our campus

  • Bring proof of vaccination with you (vaccination card or picture of card) or share it in advance of arrival at info@sitkacenter.org

  • Breathe easy through your mask knowing that Sitka’s campus is a 100% fully vaccinated environment

  • It’s ok to slip your mask to the side to sip water or coffee; we will watch changing guidelines for Oregon restaurants and coffee shops and follow them at Sitka

  • It’s ok to remove your mask outdoors if you are comfortable doing so, and to step outside the studio any time you need some fresh air

  • Give us feedback – if you see ways we can do a better job of putting health and safety first please share them with any Sitka team member

  • If you are not vaccinated, or are not able to wear a mask, and still want to take a workshop, some of our workshops have online participation options to accommodate your needs

  • If you are signed up for a workshop and would like to cancel due to COVID-19, contact us at info@sitkacenter.org or call us at 541-994-5485”
