Marzorati Documents Environmental Poisoning in “Land of Holes” Series

The Brescia area in the northern Alps of Italy has the highest rates of cancer and the largest radioactive site in the country, plus the worst polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) contamination in the world. Photographer Mattia Marzorati has been photographing these sites in hopes of making people stop and think. See some of these images in the British Journal of Photography.
