For The Fans Of Covered Bridges

Writing for the Oregonian, Jamie Hale compiled a list of 54 covered bridges in Oregon. The author noted that sometimes it is difficult to look at the remains of an ancient, rotted-away bridge and be able to ascertain whether it was ever “covered” enough to count as a “covered bridge”-plus, there is debate about what construction details qualify a bridge as “covered”- so the chances seem good that there may be some others out there that could be added to this list.

For those wanting to visit all of them, this map should be a pretty good starting point. According to the map, the closest covered bridge to Portland is the Cedar Crossing Bridge. But, is it really a covered bridge?!?!?
