…We are excited to announce a new venue for the Art Invitational: Oregon Contemporary (formerly Disjecta Contemporary Art Center) Oregon Contemporary is a non-profit cultural institution dedicated to art, community, and the exponential possibilities of contemporary art. Oregon Contemporary produces powerful, visionary art programs for the communities of Oregon.

We are thrilled to be collaborating with the Oregon Contemporary who, like Sitka Center, seeks to support living contemporary artists from the region and beyond. The building also houses a collection of smaller galleries and art studios ranging from contemporary art and photography collectives to a dance and movement space.

Oregon Contemporary, with over 4,000 sq. ft. of gallery space, is in the historic and diverse Kenton neighborhood in NE Portland. The vibrant neighborhood has a variety of locally owned restaurants, shops and galleries. The gallery is directly across from the Yellow Line Max light rail stop. Onsite and street parking are available. Parking at the Wells Fargo Bank lot next door is also available during non-working hours (Fri. after 6pm, Sat. 12pm-6pm, Sun. all day).

The newly renovated boutique Kenton Hotel is located next door and offers a discount code to Oregon Contemporary event clients…

…Masking is not currently required in most Portland galleries including the Invitational’s new venue, Oregon Contemporary. Please feel welcome to wear a mask based on your personal health and comfort, and please respect the masking and personal space needs of others when visiting the exhibit. “
