12/20/2021 Deadline For Submissions To “Traces” Exhibition

PhotoPlace Gallery in Middlebury, Vermont, announced a December 20, 2021 deadline for entries to the “Traces” exhibition that will run February 4~25. The juror will be Jeff Curto, who taught photography at the College of DuPage, in Illinois and is now a Professor Emeritus of Photography there. He will select 35 images for display in the gallery and 40 for the online gallery.

The theme is based on the idea that all human activity leaves some trace of the event. Even trips to the grocery produce receipts and shopping bags. Some towns are now abandoned and slowly collapsing, but there is still that trace. PhotoPlace wants to see your images that give some hint that humans were once here, have gone on, and left behind some evidence.
