Faroe Islands, Bucket List Contender

Dreaming of travel to some far away place to expand your portfolio? Have you ever considered the Faroe Islands? (Pronounced “fair-oh.”

You will find the islands between the Shetland Islands and Iceland, in the North Atlantic. Seventeen of the islands are inhabited. First settled in the 6th century CE by Irish monks, it became known as a good place for sheep and a Paradise for birds. Vikings arrived in the 9th century and established what is thought to be the oldest parliament. Uplifted mountains, craggy cliffs, villages, and never-ending shorelines ought to keep you busy working your camera equipment.
