Portland Photographers’ Forum To Schedule Two Meetings Per Month
The PPF board is delighted to announce that the Multnomah Arts Center has reopened to the public starting April 1st. What this means for PPF meetings:
As pandemic restrictions are being lifted, the opportunity for PPF to hold in-person meetings has become an option. We acknowledge that many of our members may have mixed feelings about gathering together in an indoor location as we have done for many years before the pandemic.
Further, we understand that many members have become accustomed to watching the monthly meetings online, or they may live in places other than Portland.
What we have planned for the near future of PPF meetings:
In-person print-sharing sessions - On the first Monday of the month, starting April 4th, PPF will host its first in-person print-sharing session at the Multnomah Arts Center from 6 pm-8 pm. These sessions will look much like the PPF meetings of the past and will be an opportunity for photographers to share their work with members and the community at large. The meetings will be open to folks who have prints to share as well as photographers who would like to participate in the discussion and socialize with the photo community. Additionally, we may plan some short presentations and demonstrations by members and friends.
Monthly online meetings via Zoom - On the 3rd Monday of each month, starting April 18th, PPF will host an online meeting with a featured speaker, the monthly challenge slide show, and community announcements for and about the members. These meetings will look much like the PPF meetings of the past 2 years, and they are intended to include members who are still uncomfortable with in-person meetings because of COVID, live away from Portland, or prefer to watch the presentation from home.
