Barkley L. Hendricks’ Book Explains The Painting/Photography Connection
Probably best known for painting, Barkley L. Hendricks started out earning a Masters in Fine Art at Yale with a specialty in photography. His tutor was Walker Evans.
With the success of his paintings, photography became a background issue in his art process. After he died in 2017, his widow and art dealer Jack Shainam, assembled a photographic catalog and published a series of books.
