Jason Langer’s 100 Sunrises (Before the Election)

Like many of us, the current world condition makes us edgy and unsettled. Also like many of us, Portland (Ore) photographer, Jason Langer, tries to make sense of it all by working with his camera.

For 100 days before the election, he went out to see where the work would take him. Like some of his previous series-Erika and Secret City-we see patches of light surrounded by darkness. Is that the interior made exterior? Is this relieving stress?
