Get To Know—Alexander Khimushin, Nomad Photographer

Mr. Khimushin is on a mission to make artistic photographic portraits of people from all the ethnicities of the world. He finds them by visiting their ancestral living spaces and making images using traditional clothing. He notes there are over 10,000 different ethnicities in the world, but that many minority groups are rapidly heading towards extinction. Ultimately, he hopes his work will make the world “a bit more tolerant and kind place to live in.”

He travels alone, racking up over 40,000Km moving through over 84 countries. He calls this project, “The World In Faces.”
