Get To Know: Brooke Sauer

Brooke Sauer spent much of her youth playing and exploring outside. Perhaps it is not surprising that many of her cyanotypes communicate a close, reciprocal relationship with nature.

She likes to hike, although not so far away during the recent shelter-in-place restrictions in Los Angeles, and is thinking of ways to take her cyanotype equipment with her so she can make prints in the field. She hopes to inspire others to go out and make deeper connections with the world.

She worked in the collaborative duo, B&T, for more than ten years, but has returned to a solo practice in photography, painting, and collage. You can see more of her work on Instagram and Saatchiart.
