Fun New Ways To Photograph Architecture

Writing in My Modern Met, Staff Editor Sara Barnes interviewed Daniel Rueda and Anna Devis about their precise, clever architectural photographs. Their studies in architecture taught them to look at buildings and structures somewhat differently than non-architects.

Their method is to start with sketches and brainstorming. Sometimes props and clothes need to be made. Every element is placed precisely. The final image can appear at first glance to be simple and minimalistic, but a prolonged viewing reveals complexity.
