Odessa Photo Days 2022 Carries On Despite Russian Attacks

Like many cities, Odessa has a photo festival with reviews, exhibitions, workshops, lectures, etc. The curator, Kateryna Radchenko had planned the 2022 event for May, however Russia began to attack Ukraine in February, which forced a change of plans. The work goes on, but with a focus on:

  • “Raising global awareness about what is happening in Ukraine;

  • Supporting Ukrainian photographers;

  • Telling the world about Ukrainian photography and culture.”

The festival called on the global photographic community to help. In response, there have been exhibitions, publications, charity sales, lectures, and meetups that raised funds to support Ukraine. You can follow them on Facebook and Instagram for more details. This page has specific information about spreading the word, donating, and supporting Ukrainians currently living outside of their home country.

If you would like to partner with the festival as an artist or an organizer, email thephotodays@gmail.com.
