Call For Work: “We Like Things Small”
Filter Photo announces we like small things v.4, an open call for photographic work that is 10 x 10 inches or less, juried by Oriana Koren. The opening reception, will occur September 25, 2021, along with Collaborating with the Archive, all of which is part of the 2021 Filter Photo Festival.
The website notes: “Works in progress, one offs, inkjet prints, silver gelatin, alternative processes, camera-less, and more—all types of 2D photo-based work are welcome for this pin-up exhibition that will showcase smaller work. This is a call for unframed work only. Prints will be pinned to the wall to create a studio like environment.”
Fee for up to 5 images — $15
July 10th – Submissions Due
End of July – Artists Notified
September 11th – Work due to Filter Space gallery
Also from the website: “Oriana Koren is a photo-ethnographer, writer & researcher who has long been creating work and laboring for parity and inclusivity within the photography industry & community and within the larger scope of American history through their ethnographic work. Koren's work centers on the perspectives of people and communities with a history of colonization by reframing the image-making process through their personal research. Koren is a founding member of the Authority Collective, a co-author of the Photo Bill of Rights and the founder of the Lit List photo award.
