Daniel Stewart Memorial Award Open Only To Residents Of New York Capitol Region, Portland, Oregon
Emerging professional photographers not currently enrolled in an academic program that results in a photography degree can now apply for a grant of $500 from the Daniel Stewart Memorial Fund. The Underground Railroad Education Center manages the award to honor the memory of Daniel Stewart. It is open to adults working towards a still photography career.
Why are only two geographic areas eligible? Daniel Stewart started out in Albany, NY, and then moved to Portland, OR. A motorcycle accident near Forest Grove subsequently took his life.
