“Ansel Adams In Our Time” Podcast With Julia Dolan (PAM) and Karen Haas (MFA Boston) Connects Museums With Socially Distanced Fans Of Zone System Inventor

Editor’s Note: Without the pandemic and all that entails, a display of Ansel Adams’ work now would be available for viewing at the Portland Art Museum. So, Art Museum staff have had to pivot and find new ways to connect with the public. Here’s just one example-a podcast by Julia Dolan and Karen Haas. "Coming soon to the Portland Art Museum is a special exhibition featuring the work of esteemed photographer Ansel Adams and the contemporary photographers he influenced. On this episode of Art Unbound, Julia Dolan, The Minor White Curator of Photography, speaks with the exhibition’s originating curator, Karen Haas, MFA Boston’s Lane Senior Curator of Photographs.

Julia and Karen discuss their own personal histories of exhibiting Ansel Adams’ work, as well as William and Saundra Lane, the collectors who make exhibitions like these possible.
