Portland Photographers’ Forum

Portland’s premier fine art photography forum

We are a community of photographers located in the heart of Portland, with members from Oregon and beyond. We educate our members and the general public on the subject of photography as a fine art through meetings, educational seminars, workshops, outings, and exhibitions of photography.

2 Monthly Meetings

In-Person Print Review Sessions

PPF coordinates a monthly, in-person print discussion group. Participants are encouraged to bring up to 5 prints to discuss with the group. Each person who shares photos will be provided with a few minutes to discuss their work. The audience is encouraged to ask questions and provide constructive feedback. These meetings are the first Monday of the month and open to the public. However, you must be a member in order to present prints.

Virtual Monthly Presenter’s Meeting

Our featured speakers are typically accomplished photographers from throughout the US and beyond. The monthly meetings also include a “photo challenge” segment, in which all current PPF members are invited to submit photos that reflect a specific theme. These meetings are the Third Monday of the month and open to the public.

If you are not a member, but would like to learn more about meetings, sign up for our newsletter using the form at the bottom of the page.

Drawer at Blue Sky

Blue Sky Gallery, also known as The Oregon Center for the Photographic Arts, is a non-profit exhibition space for contemporary photography in Portland, Oregon. Blue Sky Gallery is dedicated to public education, began by showing local artists and then slowly expanded to national and international artists.

Portland Photographers’ Forum has its own non-juried community drawer at Portland’s Blue Sky Gallery, featuring the work of two PPF members each month of the year. See who’s currently showing on our Events Page.
